Context

In recent years, healthcare systems have faced the challenge of incorporating innovative health technologies in scenarios characterized by clinical uncertainty, evolving evidence, and budget constraints. This situation has driven the search for mechanisms that allow for more flexible decision-making regarding coverage and financing.

In this context, risk-sharing agreements have been used as a tool to facilitate access to technologies under specific conditions, addressing uncertainty surrounding their effectiveness, security, or budgetary impact. However, their implementation presents challenges in terms of design, monitoring, data availability, and institutional capacity.

About the Webinar

In a context of increasing pressure on healthcare systems, ensuring access to health technologies presents challenges related to uncertainty and sustainability. This webinar addressed experiences implementing risk-sharing agreements in different countries, based on the cases of NICE (United Kingdom), the Chilean Ministry of Health, and the Argentine Ministry of Health, with the aim of sharing lessons learned and contributing to knowledge exchange in the region.
