About the webinar series
The purpose of this series is to help technical teams, decision-makers, and healthcare professionals effectively incorporate an equity perspective into HTA processes. The series will bring together complementary perspectives and capacities to explore:
- the conceptual foundations of health equity and social determinants;
- the metrics and instruments available to identify and measure inequalities;
- methodological alternatives to incorporate equity in the different stages of HTA;
- the experiences, challenges and lessons that are emerging in the Region.
About the Webinar
The presentations in the first webinar of the series will cover the concept of health equity: the difference between equality, equity, and inequity; social determinants of health: conceptual models; and health equity gaps in Latin America and the Caribbean.
