About the webinar series
The purpose of this series is to help technical teams, decision-makers, and healthcare professionals effectively incorporate an equity perspective into HTA processes. The series will bring together complementary perspectives and capacities to explore:
- the conceptual foundations of health equity and social determinants;
- the metrics and instruments available to identify and measure inequalities;
- methodological alternatives to incorporate equity in the different stages of HTA;
- the experiences, challenges and lessons that are emerging in the Region.
About the Webinar
The second webinar in the series focused on concepts and frameworks for measuring health inequalities, including key indicators and indices such as the rate ratio, concentration index, and slope inequality index. It also covered data sources, methodological considerations, and data science tools for inequity analysis.
