About the webinar series
The purpose of this series is to help technical teams, decision-makers, and healthcare professionals effectively incorporate an equity perspective into HTA processes. The series will bring together complementary perspectives and capacities to explore:
- the conceptual foundations of health equity and social determinants;
- the metrics and instruments available to identify and measure inequalities;
- methodological alternatives to incorporate equity in the different stages of HTA;
- the experiences, challenges and lessons that are emerging in the Region.
About the Webinar
The topics covered in the third webinar of the series were:
- Limitations of standard cost-effectiveness analysis: distribution of benefits, social determinants of health
- Limitations of using clinical trials as the main source of evidence
- Contributing real-world data and federated studies with common data models as a way to overcome these limitations
