The health technology assessment (HTA) It is a multidisciplinary process that allows the value of a technology to be determined through explicit methods and transparent criteria, providing solid evidence to inform decisions in healthcare systems facing multiple challenges, such as the availability of new innovations and limited resources. In this context, having access to technical capabilities and explicit prioritization frameworks This is essential so that institutions can select which technologies will be evaluated and incorporated and under what criteria, thus contributing to clearer, more equitable and efficient processes.
Given that the demand for technologies that seek to be incorporated In health systems, the availability of human resources for evaluation and the implementation of processes often exceed the availability of those resources. explicit prioritization It becomes a strategic necessity to guarantee institutional efficiency and equitable access. The webinar aims to understand the importance of prioritizing both the evaluation and incorporation of health technologies into health systems, as well as to share the various successful prioritization experiences in our region to strengthen health decision-making processes.
