It addressed the difference between randomized controlled trials (RCTs) and real-world evidence (RWE) in the use of administrative and epidemiological databases to measure effectiveness. While real-world data can be highly complex, they provide insights into the healthcare system that are difficult to obtain through RCTs alone. This real-world evidence can help ensure that healthcare systems are achieving the expected outcomes through the implementation of health technologies.
