1 August, 2018The 1st Health Economics Symposium takes place on June 19 and 20 in the federal capital, Brasília-DF, at the Carlyle Guerra auditorium of the Pan-American Health Organization – PAHO/WHO. The first organizational event on the topic will be marked by the launch of the publication “Contas do SUS na perspective of International Accounting: Brazil, 2010-2014”, topic of the main lecture: “What do you spend? Where did you spend? How do you spend? Analysis of public health expenditure based on System of Health Accounts (SHA) Methodology”, which will be given by professor, researcher at Escola Nacional de Saúde Pública Sérgio Arouca (ENSP) and Fundação Oswaldo Cruz, Maria Angélica Borges dos Santos.
With transmission in real time (http://mediacenter.aids.gov.br), or event with the purpose of expanding the knowledge about the Health Economy, which is not promoted by the Ministry by the Executive Secretary, through its Department of Health Economy, Investments and Development (DESID/SE).
Open to SUS managers, academics, researchers and technicians of the Ministry of Health, previously invited, the 1st Health Economics Symposium aims to stimulate the dissemination of information and data from the sector and promote exchange of experiences among the various actors who think and produce knowledge on the Health Economy both in public and private sector management.
Important for the national debate on the rational use of resources in health, the Symposium also marks the 15 years of incorporation of the Health Economy in the Management of the Unified Health System (SUS), in 2003.
