March 5, 2020Virtual Courses on Health Technology Assessment and Economic Evaluations from the Institute of Clinical and Health Effectiveness (IECS) of Argentina
The Institute for Clinical and Health Effectiveness (IECS) of Argentina, as a WHO/PAHO Collaborating Center in HTA, is offering 4 scholarships this semester to RedETSA members to participate in its virtual courses. This semester, the courses offered by IECS are the following:
- YoIntroduction to Health Technology Assessments and Economic Evaluations
- Development and implementation of Health Technology Assessments
- Economic Evaluations: Programming, analysis and interpretation of decision models
- Design, programming and analysis of Markov models
- Cost estimation for economic evaluations of health programs, services and technologies
- Budget Impact Analysis (BIA) in Health
- Systematic reviews and meta-analysis
- Network Meta-Analysis (MAR): reading, interpretation and application in clinical and healthcare decision making

To apply for the scholarships, you must meet the following requirements (in addition to the specific requirements for each course, described on the IECS website):
- Be part of a RedETSA member institution
- Submit a letter of commitment indicating the availability of time to complete all the activities required by the course, and also specifying the support of the institution to the applicant (if the signature of the institution's representative is not obtained before the deadline, the letter signed by the applicant will be accepted. In this case, the signature of the institution's representative will be required in the following days)
- Highlight in the commitment letter the course(s) you are interested in participating in. If you are interested in more than one, please add a number indicating your preference, starting with 1 for the one you are most interested in (maximum of 3).
- Send the Commitment letter with signature of the representative and course of interest, and your CV to Alexandre Lemgruber (lemgruba@paho.org) with copy to Stephanie Ouimet (ouimetste@paho.org) and RedETSA (redetsa@paho.org).
Application deadline: Friday, March 13, 2020 at 11:59pm (Washington DC time)
The final definition of beneficiaries will be carried out in coordination with the PAHO representations in the countries to which the applicants belong.
