“Smoking and mortality – all proven causes”
15 December, 2015Highlights of the 5th Latin American Conference of ISPOR and Annual Meeting of RedETSA – Payment Filing
22 December, 2015The seminar “Pharmacoepidemiology Research on Essential Medicines” was held on November 23 to 25, 2015 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, promoted by the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation and the Sérgio Arouca National Public Health School.
The theme of this event arises from a scenario in which there is a growing process of incorporation of high-cost technologies in the health area to the detriment of the selection of two so-called “essential medicines”. We see this phenomenon happening in various countries in Europe, North America and Latin America, among them or Brazil.
This new paradigm in the health system provides greater inequity and limited access to health interventions and technologies, resulting in social impact and challenges in resource allocation.
The objective of the seminar is to define a common work proposal for the future and allow the validation of two efforts developed separately every two years through future editions of the seminar, promoting continued support of the process.
