Starting this fifth fair (07/07), health professionals, managers and other interested parties will be able to send their contributions for a public consultation on the topic “Rivastigmine patch for treatment of dementia and Alzheimer's disease”. The data limit for sending contributions is 26/07.
After issuing a preliminary opinion on each proposal to include health technologies in SUS, CONITEC uses public consultation for the purpose of evaluating criticism, suggestions and information given by the population. This strategy allows including any interested person, or entity, in the endorsement process for the incorporation of non-SUS medications, products and procedures. The technical report and report for proposed companies are available for public consultation for a period of 20 days.
Contributions received in public consultations are evaluated by the commission before issuing its final recommendation, which may be favorable or not proposed. Finally, the Secretary of Science, Technology and Strategic Inputs of the Ministry of Health makes its final decision on the incorporation, exclusion or alteration of technology endorsed by SUS.
