RedETSA would like to welcome its new member: Ministry of Health of Panama. Following this incorporation, the Network now has a total of 32 members in 15 countries in the Americas.
The Ministry of Health of Panama has the mission to 'Ensure the entire population access to comprehensive care through public health services, humanized at all levels of intervention, based on the primary care strategy, and the development of leadership, management and transformation functions, prioritizing equity, efficiency and quality with warmth during care, ensuring transparency processes in the use of resources and the development of health actions with citizen participation, in the construction of the necessary conditions for the social production of health.' Recognizing the need to create a Health Technology Assessment Unit to make its management in the area of medicines and supplies and other health technologies more effective, the Ministry has joined RedETSA to achieve this goal.
