INAHTA INAHTA is a non-profit organization with deep roots in the international HTA community since 1993, when the network was founded. INAHTA is organized into four networks that encompass member agencies' assessment programs, knowledge transfer, education and training, as well as agency development and capacity building. Today, INAHTA offers its members the opportunity to learn from each other by exchanging knowledge and experiences, as well as contributing to the network's strategic objectives. The network is affiliated with 55 HTA agencies that support health system decision-making impacting more than 1 billion people in 32 countries around the world.
RedETSA RedETSA is a non-profit network made up of ministries of health, regulatory authorities and health technology assessment agencies. Launched in 2011, RedETSA includes 14 countries represented by 29 institutions, with the objective of strengthening and promoting the health technology assessment process in the Americas, enabling the exchange of information to support decision-making on regulation, incorporation, use and substitution of such technologies. RedETSA's objectives seek to improve the quality of care and patient safety and the rational use of technologies, and to contribute to the sustainability of health systems and equity in access.
August 2016 marked the signing of a memorandum of understanding between INAHTA and RedETSA. Both networks share common objectives towards strengthening health technology assessment (HTA).
From now on, INAHTA and RedETSA have agreed to work together on:
- Improve the dissemination of knowledge about the work of each network;
- Strengthen the links between INAHTA and RedETSA through mutual recognition on their respective websites;
- Work together towards the development of materials aimed at reducing duplication of work and effort;
- Cooperate on other projects aimed at achieving their respective missions.
Both networks recognise each other's commitment to ETS, and see great advantage and benefit in combining their efforts to achieve shared goals.
