INAHTA It is a non-profit organization that has deep roots in the endorsement of health technologies (ATS) in the international community since 1993, when the network was founded. INAHTA is organized in four networks that bring together programs for the endorsement of member agencies, for knowledge transfer, education and training, and as an agency for raising and developing training. Today, INAHTA offers its members the opportunity to learn from one another through the sharing of knowledge and experiences, in addition to contributing to the network's strategic objectives. The network is affiliated with 55 ATS agencies that assist in decision-making in the health system, affecting more than 1 billion people in 32 countries around the world.
RedETSA It is a non-profit network, formed by health ministries, regulatory and health technology endorsement agencies. Launched in 2011, RedETSA has 14 countries represented by 29 institutions, with the objective of strengthening and promoting the process of endorsement of technologies in health in the Americas, allowing the exchange of information to support decision-making on regulation, incorporation, use and substitution of these technologies. RedETSA aims to improve the quality of patient care, safety, and the rational use of technologies and contribute to the sustainability of health and equity systems.
August 2016 marked the signing of a memorandum of understanding between INAHTA and RedETSA. Both networks present common objectives for ATS implementation.
From now on, INAHTA and RedETSA agree to work together in:
- Improve the dissemination of knowledge about the work of each network;
- Strengthen the ties between INAHTA and RedETSA through mutual recognition on their respective websites;
- Work together to develop materials to reduce duplication of work and effort;
- Cooperate in other projects that we aim to achieve our goals.
Both networks recognize each other's commitment to ATS, and see a great benefit to combine their efforts to achieve common objectives.
