March 7, 2017Duke University, Durham, North Carolina, will host a “Patient Voice” webinar, presented by Benjamin M. Craig, on the third day, 02/14, at 2:00 p.m.
This presentation will give an overview of the recent advances in health preference research. Specifically, it will show how an estimate of QALYs evolves to incorporate time preferences; Analyze the potential implications of PDUFA IV for risk-benefit analyses; Discuss the importance of perspective in preference research (for example: patient, society, etc.); And introduce emerging infrastructure, designed to advance tools to support decisions sensitive to preferences, promoting clinical relevance. This presentation is for students, clinicians and scientists interested in health preference research and will help them understand ongoing research, education and policy initiatives, as well as the state of science and practice.
