Context
Health technology assessment (HTA) is a multidisciplinary process that uses explicit methods to determine the value of a health technology at different points in its life cycle, in order to support decision-making to promote an equitable, efficient and high-quality health system.
However, conducting a full HTA can be time- and resource-consuming, which may impact countries' ability to conduct a full HTA for each intervention.
Adaptive HTA (aHTA) is an approach to performing HTA that adjusts to constraints such as time, data availability, or capacity.
About the Webinar
The aim of this webinar is to describe the aHTA methods identified worldwide, present some examples of how aHTA is used in different countries and the benefits and barriers of aHTA implementation.
